Since graduating from Curtin University Michelle has worked in both the Private Hospital system and in Private Practice. Michelle has extensive experience in acute post surgical rehabilitation for Orthopaedic, Spinal, Cardiac and Neurosurgery, along with Ante-natal and Post-natal Physiotherapy treatment techniques.
Now a LIVe Physio practitioner, Michelle has a keen interest in bridging the rehabilitation gap providing soft tissue treatment, joint mobilisation, manipulation and rehabilitation techniques and exercises for patients to continue on their path to recovery and beyond. By providing a holistic view to treatment this ensures effective management of the injury and prevention of re-injury.
Michelle’s experience with Women’s Health in regards to Ante-natal and Post-natal issues has lead to a keen interest in the treatment of Low Back pain pre and post pregnancy, Pubic Symphysis pain, Sacro-illiac pain, Continence and Mastitis. By using Real Time Ultrasound Assessment of the deep stabilising muscles of the Pelvic Floor and Transverse abdominals, Michelle will be able to provide you with a treatment plan to get your body back into shape.
Michelle is also a STOTT Pilates certified instructor and uses her keen knowledge of postural analysis and rehabilitation techniques along with Pilates principles to provide her clients with a holistic, biomechanical and functional approach to rehab. By facilitating the right muscles to work she will assist the correction of muscle imbalances due to postural adaptation and your body will be brought back to equilibrium and balance.
